Just 20 years ago, the prevailing view was that marriage was absolutely necessary. But more and more these days, young people tend to think of marriage as a matter of choice. To them, it's not a must. There are a few reasons for such shifting views.
First, the high cost of getting hitched is the top reason. The wedding itself can be expensive. On top of that, getting a home to live in together is a daunting task.
Another reason is that younger generations want to focus on their career. It's more important to them than starting a family. That's why marriage is taking a back seat among life priorities.
20년 전에는 반드시 결혼해야하는 생각이 일반적(통속적/지배적)이었다. 그러나 요즘에는 젊은이들(결혼기에 있는 남녀들) 결혼은 선택의 문제로 생각하는 경향이 있다. 그들에게 반드시 필요한 것은 아니다. 이러한 의식에 변화에 대한 몇가지 이유가 있다.
첫번째로, 결혼에 대한 높은 비용이 가장 큰 이유이다. 웨딩 자체만으로도 비싸다. (그러한 결혼을 못하는) 이유들 중에서 가장 큰 부분은, 같이 살 집을 구하는 일은 엄두가 나지 않는다.

I'm for to it. Because it's a peronal matter. If the are engaged. They might live together from 3 month to 6 month before the wedding day.

Having kids is a buden to them. If they have kids, they can't focus on their career and giveup many things like leisure life.
Q3. What is the hardest part about getting married?
The hardest part about getting married is giving up my single life. I'm enjoying it a lot in the way travling with my friends, drinking, excising, learning English whenever I want.
Q4. why do people get married despite this?
I think that the love is powerful. and some of people want to get marry. They think that marrige makes their lives happy.

The trendencies are a few reasons which have the high cost to get a home to live in together and to have a wedding ceremony. Also if they get married, they might have to give-up a single life like traveling with friends, drinking, spending free time focusing on them.
Another case is that couples want just married life without kids or even not getting married at all. I'm for to it because it's a personal matter. If they are engaged, they might live together from 3 month to 6 month before the wedding day. It will be important time to confirm whether they are good couple or not. Having kids is one of the important problems as well. Having kids is a burden to them because they have to give-up many things.
The marriage is not completion factor of love. However, some of people who want to get married think that marriage makes their life better than before. Being a famaily makes their life more stable than being alone. Actually, my friend who lived in Australia looks happier than when she was single. She enjoys everything with her husband and baby but she doesn't give-up anything she wanted.
So, I think that the marriage is case by case. If I can get happier than now, I might get married.
